Eddie Berg is an independent consultant specialising in strategy, policy and creative development for cultural, educational, creative and social businesses.
From 2005 -2014 he worked at the BFI, firstly as Director of BFI Southbank (leading the £8m transformation of the National Film Theatre) and then as Director of Partnerships where he was responsible for overseeing and shaping the BFI’s £25m per annum lottery investment in film exhibition, education and skills across the UK. Eddie is also the Founder and former CEO of the £11m FACT Centre in Liverpool which opened to popular and critical acclaim in 2003 and is now one of the world’s leading media arts organisations.
Eddie is Chair of the Board of Directors of the Film and Video Umbrella in London; Chair of the Film Strategy Board for Greater Birmingham; Chair of the External Advisory Board for the Institute of Creative Enterprise at Edge Hill University; and is a Trustee of both Culture 24 in Brighton and the Bluecoat Arts Centre in Liverpool. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and in 2005 was awarded the £10,000 BBC/Arts Council England prize for ‘Outstanding contribution to the cultural life of North West England.
